2. By Boat: Ferry or Catamaran

Catamaran (Passenger-Only): The catamaran is a fast, direct service to Hvar Town, perfect if you’re not traveling with a vehicle.

  • First Departure from Split: 08:00h

  • Last Departure from Split: 19:10h

Ferry (For Vehicles + Passengers): The ferry transports both vehicles and passengers and arrives in Stari Grad, about 20 minutes by car from Hvar Town.

  • First Ferry to Stari Grad: 05:00h

  • Last Ferry to Stari Grad: 20:30h

From Dubrovnik Airport: Take a taxi or shuttle to Dubrovnik port (which takes around 30 minutes drive), then a ferry to Hvar. The ferry ride takes around 3 to 4 hours.

3. Ferry + Bus or Taxi from Stari Grad to Hvar Town!

If you take the ferry to Stari Grad, you can either take a local bus to Hvar Town or opt for a taxi. Check the local bus schedule below, or if you'd prefer more direct transportation, plenty of local taxi services are available.

Expected Weather

In October, Hvar's temperatures range from 15°C to 23°C (59°F to 73°F). Mornings and evenings can be cooler, but expect mostly sunny weather during the day.

What to Wear
