All participants are expected to be aware of these rules. Offi cial DEKA Rule Book ● What event types does DEKA off er? DEKA is a modern-day decathlon of fi tness for people of all levels. Emphasizing training with a purpose, it gives you the ability to consistently set goals and challenge yourself. DEKA off ers 5 diff erent event types: ● DEKA FIT - 10 Zones & 5K Running ● Each competitor will run 500 meters before entering each zone for a total of 5k of running. ● DEKA MILE - 10 Zones & 1 Mile Running ● Each competitor will run .1 miles before entering each zone for a total of 1 mile of running. Also, Zones 4 and 8 will be slightly modifi ed. ● DEKA STRONG - 10 Zones & NO Running ● There is no running! You will just complete each zone going right from zone to zone. Also, Zones 4 and 8 will be slightly modifi ed. ● DEKA ULTRA - 50 Zones & 25K Running ● An amped version of our classic DEKA FIT, the DEKA ULTRA involved completing 5 circuits of our 10 Zone, 5K challenge. The total distance covered is 25K (15.5 miles) ● DEKA ATLAS - 10 Zones with a 30-minute time cap ● This is a 10-zone fi tness test designed to highlight humans who have a well-rounded strength foundation and strong work capacity engine and is also an attainable strength test goal for the world to train for. The Course The DEKAFIT course will consist of 10 training zones: Zone 1. 30 Weighted Alternate Reverse Lunge Zone 2. 500m Row Zone 3. 20 Box Jump Over/Step Overs Zone 4. 25 Med-Ball Sit-Up Throws (modifi ed to Med-Ball Sit-ups for DEKA MILE and DEKA STRONG) Zone 5. 500m Ski Erg Zone 6. 100m Farmers Carry Zone 7. 25 Cal Air Bike Zone 8. 20 Dead Ball Wall Overs (Modifi ed to Dead Ball Shoulder overs for Mile and Strong) Zone 9. 100m Tank Push/Pull Zone 10. 20 Weighted Burpees Your score will be based on the time it takes to complete the full circuit. DEKA FIT Rules ● The weight standards are the same for Elite and Open competitors. ● Failure to complete a zone or any reps at any zone will result in your timing chip being cut and you will not be eligible for any awards or prizes. You can still fi nish the event and receive the fi nisher swag. ● Competitive winners MUST be present at the award ceremony to receive their awards. Awards will NOT be given or mailed out after race day. ● In order to get an offi cial DEKA mark (score), all competitors (Elite and Open) must complete the course in its entirety with no assistance. ● Offi cial Rulebook Available Here More information on DEKAFIT can be found here! ● Terms and Conditions Spartan Ireland (Including DEKA) Terms of Purchase 2027 1. Definitions In this Agreement, the following definitions apply: Company: Aimwell Events Limited, or any another authorised organiser expressly identified as the contracting party before purchase. The contracting party’s company number, registered address and contact details shall be provided before purchase. Spartan Entities: where applicable, Spartan International Operations B.V., Spartan Race, Inc., Spartan Race UK Operations Limited and their respective affiliates. Releasees: the Company, its affiliates, licensors and franchise partners, the Spartan Entities (where applicable), the Venue Owner, sponsors, event partners, contractors and agents, and their respective officers, employees, representatives, successors and permitted assigns, to the extent of their involvement in the Event. Event: any official Spartan or DEKA obstacle race, fitness event, competition, training session or related activity held in the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland during 2027 and organised, operated or licensed by the Company under these Terms. This includes all Spartan and DEKA formats, distances, divisions, individual, pairs, relay and team events, championships, qualifiers, youth and adaptive categories and associated activities offered by the Company, including any agreed postponement of the booked Event. These Terms also apply to bookings made before 2027. An independent affiliate or gym event is covered only where its identified organiser adopts these Terms. Participant: any individual participating in or attending the Event, including competitors, volunteers, spectators or staff. Venue Owner: the owner or operator of the land or premises where the Event takes place. Consumer: an individual acting wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession, as defined by the Consumer Rights Act 2022. 2. Registration and Authority a. By registering, you confirm that you have the legal capacity to enter into this Agreement. b. If registering on behalf of another adult Participant, you confirm authority to make the booking and shall provide that Participant with these Terms and the applicable waiver for their own acknowledgement. c. For a minor, participation requires appropriate parental or legal guardian permission, which does not waive the child’s protected rights. d. This Agreement applies to all Participants included in the registration to the extent that it has been validly accepted by them or on their behalf. 3. Payment and Booking a. All registrations are subject to availability and payment confirmation. b. Fees may vary depending on Event type, timing and location. The total price, including VAT and mandatory charges, shall be disclosed before purchase. Optional additional charges require express agreement. c. Processing or booking fees are non-refundable except where reimbursement is required by applicable law. d. VAT is chargeable in accordance with applicable law. e. Third-party platforms may act as payment agents. The Company is not responsible for platform errors except to the extent that applicable law makes it responsible, including for the performance of its own contractual obligations. 4. Cancellations, Changes and Force Majeure a. The Company may cancel, postpone or modify the Event where reasonably necessary due to circumstances beyond its control, including weather, public health risks, Government restrictions or safety concerns. b. Where the Event is cancelled or materially changed, the Company may offer a transfer, deferral or refund. c. Statutory termination and refund rights are preserved and are not discretionary. d. Any transfer or deferral replacing a refund to which you are entitled requires your agreement. e. Refunds required by law shall include legally refundable charges and be made within the applicable statutory period. f. Mandatory remedies for non-supply or partial or defective performance remain available, including where circumstances are beyond the Company’s control. g. The Company is not liable for separately arranged travel or accommodation costs except to the extent that such costs are legally recoverable from it, including as a result of its breach of contract or duty. h. The Company may alter the course, format, timing or structure where reasonably required for safety, legal or operational reasons. Material changes shall be notified as soon as reasonably practicable and remain subject to Clause 4(b). 5. Refunds, Transfers and Chargebacks a. Registrations are non-refundable except where required by law. The statutory cancellation right for distance and off-premises contracts does not apply to a leisure service provided on a specified date or period where the relevant statutory exception applies. This does not remove remedies for failure to perform the Agreement. b. Entries are personal and non-transferable unless permitted by the Company. c. Nothing in these Terms restricts a good-faith payment dispute, a request for a chargeback or payment reversal, or your rights under applicable consumer law, payment-services law or card-scheme rules. An unsuccessful dispute doesn’t, by itself, justify a charge by the Company. d. You must not knowingly provide false information in support of a chargeback or payment reversal. Where the Company establishes fraudulent conduct, it may seek recovery only of reasonable, evidenced direct costs caused by that conduct and lawfully recoverable from you. There will be no duplicate recovery. e. Nothing in this Agreement affects your statutory rights under applicable consumer law. 6. Assumption of Risk a. Participation involves inherent risks, including but not limited to the following, according to the Event and activities undertaken: • Physical injury • Exposure to extreme weather • Drowning or near drowning • Contact with animals, terrain and obstacles • Exposure to contaminated water, chemicals or environmental hazards • Contact with plants, insects or natural hazards • Travel in or on vehicles, equipment or event infrastructure • Climbing, crawling, lifting, carrying or other strenuous activity • Illness, including infectious diseases • Permanent disability or death • For DEKA and other fitness events, risks associated with loaded movements, repetitive exercise, running and transition areas, weights, resistance and exercise equipment, including falls, collisions, dropped loads and overexertion b. You acknowledge that: • Some inherent risks cannot be eliminated without altering the fundamental nature of the Event • Participation is voluntary • You accept responsibility for inherent risks which you understand and willingly undertake, subject to Clauses 9 and 11. 7. Fitness, Medical Responsibility and Insurance a. You confirm that, to the best of your knowledge, you are physically fit and capable of participating in the selected Event, taking account of any agreed accommodation. b. You authorise arrangements for emergency medical assistance. c. Consent to treatment shall be obtained, or treatment provided, in accordance with applicable law concerning consent, capacity and emergencies. d. You accept responsibility for associated costs only to the extent that they are lawfully chargeable to you and are not the legal responsibility of a Releasee. e. You acknowledge that medical facilities may be limited. This does not relieve the Company of its applicable safety and emergency duties. f. Unless expressly stated in the booking details, the Company does not provide personal insurance for Participants. You are responsible for obtaining appropriate personal insurance if required. 8. Infectious Disease Risk a. You acknowledge the risk of exposure to infectious diseases. b. You agree to comply with lawful and reasonable health measures and not to attend with symptoms reasonably indicating a transmissible infection that could place others at risk. c. Your acceptance of associated inherent risks is subject to Clauses 9 and 11 and does not excuse a Releasee’s breach of duty. 9. Release in respect of inherent risks a. Subject to Clause 11 and to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Releasees shall not be liable merely because a risk inherent in the nature of the Event occurs where that risk could not reasonably be eliminated without altering its fundamental character and was understood and willingly accepted by the Participant. b. This does not exclude liability for negligence, breach of contract or duty, or any liability protected by Clause 11. Acceptance of these Terms alone does not establish informed acceptance of every risk. 10. Responsibility for Loss Caused by Participants a. Subject to Clause 11, an adult Participant is responsible for reasonable and foreseeable loss directly caused by their negligence, wilful misconduct or a material breach of these Terms for which they’re responsible, but only to the extent that the loss is lawfully recoverable from them. b. A Participant isn’t responsible under this clause for loss to the extent caused or increased by a Releasee’s negligence or breach of contract or duty, or for loss which the Releasee could reasonably have avoided. c. Any claim must be supported by evidence of responsibility and the amount claimed. Legal costs are recoverable only where permitted by applicable law. There will be no duplicate recovery. d. This Clause 10 imposes no contractual liability on a Participant under 18. No person is required under these Terms to indemnify a Releasee against a child’s claim. A purchaser, parent or guardian doesn’t become responsible for another person’s liabilities merely by arranging their entry. e. This Clause 10 doesn’t penalise a good-faith complaint or claim, or restrict the exercise of statutory rights. 11. Limitation of Liability To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law: a. Subject to Clause 11(c), the Releasees shall not be liable for indirect or consequential business loss, including loss of profit, revenue, business or opportunity. This exclusion does not apply to a Consumer’s loss which is a reasonably foreseeable consequence of a Releasee’s breach of contract or duty. b. Subject to Clause 11(c), for claims by a purchaser acting in the course of its trade, business, craft or profession and not as a Consumer, the total aggregate liability of the Releasees arising out of or in connection with the Event shall not exceed the total amount paid by that purchaser for participation in the Event, to the extent that this limitation is lawful and reasonable. The cap does not apply to a Participant’s personal claim merely because a business paid for the entry. c. Nothing in this Agreement shall operate to exclude or limit liability for: i. death or personal injury arising from an act or omission of a trader where protected by applicable consumer law, or resulting from negligence; ii. fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or iii. any liability or right which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer rights concerning the supply and quality of services, refunds and other remedies under the Consumer Rights Act 2022, where applicable. 12. Event Rules, Conduct and Licence a. You agree to follow lawful and reasonable instructions and comply with safety rules and the applicable Spartan or DEKA Event rules disclosed before booking. Subsequent changes are subject to Clause 4. b. Your confirmed registration gives you a personal licence to attend and, where applicable, participate in the booked Event, subject to these Terms. Any cancellation, restriction or withdrawal of that permission must comply with Clauses 4, 12(c) or 17, as applicable, and with applicable law. Your statutory rights, including any entitlement to a refund, remain unaffected. c. The Company may refuse entry, remove Participants or disqualify individuals for a material rule breach, unsafe conduct or another objectively justified safety or legal reason. Any such action shall be proportionate and lawful. Refusal or removal without refund shall apply only where justified and permitted by law. Statutory refund and equality rights remain unaffected. 13. Timing Devices and Equipment Where timing chips or similar equipment are provided: a. You must use them in accordance with instructions. b. Failure to do so may result in proportionate disqualification under the applicable Event rules. c. You may be charged for lost or unreturned equipment where the charge was disclosed before booking, the loss or failure to return is your responsibility, and the amount reflects the reasonable replacement cost. No charge applies for ordinary wear or a defect attributable to the Company or supplier. 14. Personal Property a. You are responsible for your belongings. b. The Company is not liable for loss, theft or damage except to the extent arising from its negligence, breach of contract or duty, including any agreed storage responsibility, or otherwise required by law. 15. Media, Image Rights and Technology a. The Company, relevant Spartan Entities and identified event partners may photograph, film or otherwise record the Event and process your image, likeness and performance information only for the purposes and on the lawful bases explained in Annex 1 and the applicable privacy information identified under Clause 16. b. Those uses may include publication on websites, social media and promotional platforms, including worldwide publication without compensation, only within the scope of the purposes and uses explained in that privacy information and subject to applicable law. c. Where consent is relied upon, it will be requested separately and will identify the relevant organisations, purposes and intended uses. Optional consent may be refused or withdrawn without affecting entry. Withdrawal doesn’t affect processing lawfully carried out before withdrawal. Your rights to object or request removal of personal data remain available where applicable. d. Children’s data protection and image rights will be respected. Information will be provided in an age-appropriate form, and any necessary parental or guardian permission will be obtained. Permission to participate doesn’t itself constitute consent to optional promotional use of a child’s image. e. Any proposed use of facial recognition or other biometric identification will be specifically explained in Annex 1 before that processing begins. It will only take place where the applicable lawful basis, any required additional condition for biometric data, and the necessary safeguards are in place. Where explicit consent is relied upon, it will be obtained separately. Accepting these Terms or attending the Event doesn’t constitute that consent. 16. Data Collection and Use a. Personal data relating to bookings and participation in the Event will be processed in accordance with applicable data protection law. Annex 1, the Ireland Event Privacy Supplement, explains the Company’s processing and identifies the relevant controllers, their contact details and their respective activities. b. Where Spartan Race, Inc. or another Spartan entity acts as a controller, information about its processing is provided in the Spartan Privacy Policy, together with any applicable event-specific information identified in Annex 1. For the Company’s own processing, Annex 1 takes priority over inconsistent general wording in that policy. c. Accepting these Terms, signing the Waiver or attending the Event doesn’t constitute consent to optional marketing, promotional image use or biometric identification. Where consent is required, it will be requested separately for specified purposes. Optional consent may be refused or withdrawn without affecting entry. Withdrawal doesn’t affect processing lawfully carried out before withdrawal. d. The Company will provide Annex 1 when collecting the personal data to which it relates. Information concerning any additional processing will be provided when required by applicable law. e. You can contact the Company about its processing or exercise your data protection rights using the contact details in Annex 1. Nothing in these Terms or the Waiver restricts those rights. 17. Security and Searches Reasonable and proportionate searches may be requested for safety purposes and shall be conducted lawfully and with consent. Prohibited items include unauthorised alcohol, illegal drugs, weapons and unsafe items. Essential medication and disability aids shall be accommodated in accordance with applicable law. Refusal of a reasonably necessary lawful search may result in denied entry. Any refusal of a refund is subject to Clause 12 and applicable law. 18. Intellectual Property All intellectual property relating to the Event, including branding, materials, systems and content, remains the property of the Company or its licensors. You may not use, reproduce or exploit such material without prior written consent. 19. Assignment The Company may assign or transfer its rights and obligations under this Agreement to affiliates or third parties, provided that this does not reduce your rights or protections or materially impair your ability to enforce them. The Company shall notify you of any change of contracting party. Any transfer requiring your consent under applicable law shall be subject to that consent. 20. Severability If any provision of this Agreement is invalid or unenforceable, it shall not bind the affected party to that extent. The remainder shall continue only if capable of operating lawfully without that provision. 21. Governing Law and Jurisdiction This Agreement is governed by Irish law and disputes may be brought before the Irish courts. 22. Entire Agreement This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties concerning the booking. It does not exclude reliance on binding pre-contract information, express representations or mandatory statutory terms. By expressly accepting these Terms when registering, you confirm that you have had an opportunity to read and understand this Agreement and retain a copy. The applicable waiver shall also be provided before purchase. Participation alone does not constitute acceptance of terms which were not properly disclosed or agreed. Annex 1 Ireland Event Privacy Supplement Version 1 2026 This Annex explains how the Company handles personal data for the Spartan and DEKA events it organises in Ireland under the 2027 Terms of Purchase. It covers booking and participation information relating to purchasers, participants, parents or guardians and emergency contacts. 1. Who’s responsible for your information Aimwell Events Limited, referred to as “we”, “us” or “the Company”, is a controller for the local event activities described in this supplement. Our privacy contact: info@aimwellevents.ie Spartan Race, Inc. can be contacted at us@spartan.com. Its privacy policy is available at Spartan Privacy Policy. 2. Information we collect and where it comes from Depending on your involvement in the Event, we process: • Identity, contact and booking information, including entry category, age or eligibility information, team details and payment or refund records. • Waiver acknowledgements, signatures and relevant parental or guardian details. • Participation, timing, ranking and results information. • Correspondence, complaints and relevant safety or incident records. • Photographs and recordings, where the activities described in section 4 apply. • Health or accessibility information only as explained in section 5. We obtain information directly from you and, where relevant, from the person making your booking, your parent or guardian, registration providers, timing providers and event personnel. If you provide another person’s details, please give them this supplement. We remain responsible for providing the privacy information required by law. 3. Why we use your information The following describes our processing purposes and lawful bases. We only use the information necessary for the relevant activity. Activity Purpose and lawful basis Booking, payment, refunds and essential event communications To arrange and deliver your booking. We rely on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where processing is necessary for our contract with you. Participants booked by another person To administer their authorised participation. Where the participant isn’t a party to the booking contract, we rely on our legitimate interests under Article Activity Purpose and lawful basis 6(1)(f) in organising and delivering the booked event, subject to their rights and interests. Waivers, eligibility checks and event administration We rely on our legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) in documenting participation, applying event rules and managing the Event safely and fairly. Health information is subject to section 5. Timing and public results We use timing information to administer the competition. Publication of results relies on our legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) in providing an accurate record of the competition. Emergency contacts and incident management We rely on our legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) in communicating with nominated contacts and managing safety incidents. Where necessary to protect Activity Purpose and lawful basis someone’s life, Article 6(1)(d) may apply. Health information is subject to section 5. Complaints and legal claims We rely on our legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) in investigating concerns and establishing, exercising or defending legal claims. Required financial and regulatory records We rely on Article 6(1)(c) to comply with the applicable legal obligations. Optional marketing We rely on your separate consent under Article 6(1)(a) for marketing channels. Each electronic marketing message provides an unsubscribe facility. Where we rely on legitimate interests, we assess the necessity of the processing and its effect on your rights, taking particular account of children’s interests. Information required for booking or participation is identified when requested. If you don’t provide required information, we may be unable to complete the booking, verify eligibility or provide the relevant service. We’ll explain the particular consequence at that point. Optional information is identified separately. 4. Photographs and recordings Where ordinary event coverage relies on legitimate interests, those interests are marketing and event coverage. Where we rely on consent for identifiable promotional use, the request will specify the organisations, purposes and intended uses. Refusing or withdrawing optional consent will not affect entry. 5. Health and accessibility information We only request health or accessibility information necessary for the specified purpose. Where explicit consent is the applicable condition, we’ll seek it separately and explain withdrawal and any resulting effect on the requested support. Authority to arrange emergency medical assistance isn’t consent to routine processing of health information. Access is restricted to people who need the information for the identified purpose. 6. Who receives your information We share information only where necessary for the purposes described in this supplement and where a lawful basis applies. Recipients for this Event are the relevant Spartan entities and the registration, payment, timing, photography, hosting and other service providers. Relevant information may also be provided to medical responders, insurers, professional advisers and competent authorities where necessary and legally justified. Where a provider processes information solely on our instructions, its processing is governed by an appropriate data processing agreement. Other controllers are responsible for their own processing and privacy information. 7. How long we keep information Our retention periods are in line with statutory retention periods. We may retain relevant records for longer where required by law or necessary for an existing or reasonably anticipated claim. We restrict such retention to the relevant information and review the continuing need. Information is securely deleted or anonymised when no longer required. 8. Your rights Subject to the applicable GDPR conditions, you can request access to your personal data, correction, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests because of your particular circumstances. We’ll stop that processing unless we have a lawful basis to continue under the applicable objection rules. You can object to direct marketing at any time, including related profiling. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it through our privacy contact. Withdrawal will not affect processing lawfully carried out beforehand. We normally respond to rights requests within one month. If a permitted extension is needed, we will explain the reason within that first month. You can complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission through dataprotection.ie, or another competent supervisory authority. You don’t have to contact us first. 9. Website technologies and updates Information about cookies and similar technologies used on the relevant registration pages is available at the Cookies Notice. REGISTRATION ● DEKA Registrations, Transfers, and Changes How do I sign up for a DEKA FIT, DEKA STRONG, or DEKA MILE? You can sign up for a DEKA event here. For information on teams, please refer to this article. Please note, at this time, Spartan Race Season Passes do not apply to DEKA events. Cancellations, refunds, and transfers The following applies to DEKA FIT events ONLY (not DEKA STRONG or DEKA MILE events, organized by our affi liate partners): ● DEKA FIT does not off er refunds on registrations. If you are unable to attend the event you registered for, you can transfer the DEKA FIT registration to another DEKA FIT event only (not DEKA STRONG or DEKA MILE events). ● You have up to 30 days after your originally scheduled event to transfer to a new event. ● The option to defer will be taken offl ine the Wednesday before the event and will reopen online by the Wednesday after the event. ● DEKA FIT events will require a $20transfer fee; the participant is responsible for any applicable price diff erences between events. ● You will receive a credit for the amount paid for your DEKA FIT registration, less the service fee. ● DEKA FIT Registrations cannot be transferred to DEKA STRONG, DEKA MILE, Spartan racers, or Tough Mudder events. Transfer Yourself To A New DEKA FIT Event: 1. Log into your DEKA Tickets Account 2. Find the Deka event you would like to transfer, click the 3 dots on the right, and click Switch To A Diff erent Event. 3. Find the DEKA FIT event you would like to transfer to. 4. Choose your desired time block (Note, you will only be able to transfer into heats that are not sold out. ) 5. Remember to join/create any desired teams for the new event 6. Enter your initials for the new waiver. 7. Click "Update Information" at the bottom. 8. The charges for the change will appear. Enter your payment information. 9. After completing the payment, you will be entered in the new Deka Event! Transfer your DEKA FIT Entry To A New Person: 1. Log into your DEKA Tickets Account 2. Find the Deka event you would like to transfer, click the 3 dots on the right and click Switch To A Diff erent Event. 3. Press you would like to transfer, click Transfer Registration. 4. Enter the email address of the person you are sending your registration to. 5. Once sent, they will receive an email with instructions, the new racer will click Claim Entry. 6. The new racer will just fi ll out the registration form. 7. They will need to pay any diff erence in price between what was originally paid and the current price (if any). To Transfer your DEKA MILE or DEKA STRONG to a new event or to another person: ● Transfers to alternate DEKA MILE or DEKA STRONG events will not be permitted ● If you can not attend your scheduled DEKA Strong or DEKA Mile event, you may transfer your registration to another person: ● Please provide the new participant with a copy of your registration confi rmation email (printed or visible on a phone is acceptable). The various types of competitor levels are defi ned: Elite, Age Group, or Open. The Open category is a non-competitive heat. Age Group is a competitive heat where you compete within your age category. The qualifi cations/age group is the same as the Spartan OCR Age Group category. There are ten Age Group categories for both male and female competitors: 1. 14-17 2. 18-24 3. 25-29 4. 30-34 5. 35-39 6. 40-44 7. 45-49 8. 50-54 9. 55-59 10. 60+ The Elite wave is a more competitive heat. The Elite men and women will start the event at diff erent times but won&#x27;t be broken down into Age Categories as the Elite heat is one heat for all men and one heat for all women. If there are still spots available on event day, you can complete the day of registration online. EVENT DAY ● DEKA Spectators Spectators are welcome at all DEKA events! IT CAN BE USED AS A BENCHMARK AND FITNESS IMPROVEMENT TEST AS WELL AS A TRAINING/WORKOUT SESSION. Zones & Movement Standards: Zone 1 - Alternating Reverse Lunge x 30 (15 each leg) 1. Begin from an upright standing position 2. Step back to begin the reverse lunge movement 3. The knee must touch the ground 4. The knee must be below or behind the hip 5. Front foot fl at on the ground 6. At the top of the rep competitor must be standing upright at hip and knee extension 7. Split Squat Jumps are not permitted. Both feet must be on the ground at the top of the rep before you begin the next rep 8. Alternate leg each rep (30 total - 15 each leg) Zone 2 - Hand Release Push Up x 20 1. Begin in a palm plank (push-up) position 2. Lower yourself until your chest touches the ground 3. Lift your hands from the ground 4. Return your hands to the ground, push back up into the palm plank position 5. At the top of the push-up (when you complete the rep) your body must be in-line without hip sag. ● Note: Dropping to your knees to complete the push-up is allowed but as you fi nish the push-up rep, you must raise your knees off the ground (knees off the ground, body in line, and with no hip sag). Zone 3 - Sit Up x 30 1. Begin lying on the ground with knees bent and hands touching the ground behind your head 2. Sit up until your torso is upright enough to allow you to touch the ground between your feet with both hands 3. Lower torso back down on the ground and touch hands on the ground behind your head 4. A rep is counted every time your hands touch the ground between your feet ● Note: Torso should reach 45 degrees or more off the ground as your hands touch the ground between your feet. If not, re-position your feet further out in front of you Zone 4 - Squat Jump x 30 1. Begin from an upright standing position 2. Squat down and touch the ground between your feet with both hands 3. Jump up from the squat position 4. During the jump, both feet must leave the ground and the body must reach an upright position with hip and knee extension 5. A rep is counted once the body leaves the ground, body reaches an upright position, and the fi ngers reach above head Zone 5 - Bear Crawl (forward & backward) x 50 meters 1. Measure and mark a 5 meter zone 2. Starting position is on the ground forward facing on all fours with entire body behind the start line 3. Bear crawl forward until left or right hand touches the 5 meter line 4. Bear crawl backward until entire body is behind the start line (this completes 1 down & back = 10 meters) 5. Continue repeating for a total of 5 down & back = 50 meters ● Note: The torso must stay perpendicular to the lines during the forward and backward bear crawl movement. Moving sideways or with the torso at an angle is not allowed. Dropping to your knees to rest is fi ne but all forward and backward movement must take place with knees off the ground Zone 6 - Shuttle Run x 100 meters 1. Use the same 5 meter zone used for the Bear Crawl 2. Start with both feet behind the line 3. Run until you are close enough to touch the 5 meter line to bend down and touch the line with your right or left hand. Bend down and touch the line. 4. Run back until you are close enough to touch the line you started from with your right or left hand. Bend down and touch the line (this completes 1 down & back = 10 meters) 5. Continue repeating for a total of 10 down & back = 100 meters ● Note: every time you complete the 5 meter distance, bend down and touch the line (total of 20 line touches) Zone 7 - Lateral Jump x 30 (15 each direction) 1. You’ll need three markers (cones, rocks, tape lines, books, cans, etc) 2. Lay on the ground and place one marker on the ground behind (touching) your head. Sit up and place a marker at the bottom of your feet (touching). Stand up and place the place marker in the middle of the two 3. From a standing position place your right foot behind the marker on the right and your left foot behind the marker in the middle (or vice versa - left foot behind marker on the left and right foot behind the marker in the middle) 4. Squat down and jump laterally with both legs pushing from the ground at the same time 5. If jumping left, your left foot must land behind the marker on the left and your right foot must land behind the marker in the middle (this completes 1 rep). If jumping right, your right foot must land behind the marker on the right and your left foot must land behind the marker in the middle 6. Continue repeating back and forth until you have completed 30 reps (15 each direction) Zone 8 - Plank Shoulder Tap x 30 (15 each side) 1. Starting in a plank position (hands and feet on the ground, feet shoulder width apart, body in a straight line from shoulders to ankles - no hip sag) 2. Raise a hand off the ground and touch the opposite shoulder, return hand to the ground and maintain starting plank position. This completes 1 rep. 3. Continue repeating side to side (alternating each rep) until you have completed 30 reps (15 each side) Zone 9 - Lateral Shuffl e x 100 meters 1. Use the same 5 meter zone used for Bear Crawl and Shuttle Run 2. Start with both feet behind the line 3. Shuffl e laterally (sideways) until you are close enough to touch the 5 meter line to bend down and touch the line with your right or left hand (depending on which way you’re facing). Bend down and touch the line 4. Shuffl e sideways (opposite direction) until you are close enough to touch the line you started from. Bend down and touch the line (this completes 1 down & back = 10 meters) 5. Continue repeating for a total of 10 down & back = 100 meters ● Note: every time you complete the 5-meter distance, bend down and touch the line (total of 20 line touches) Zone 10 - Burpee x 20 1. Begin in an upright standing position with your hips and knees fully extended 2. Drop down touch your hands on the ground and kick your feet back behind you 3. From this position drop your body down until your chest makes contact with the ground and your knees are fully extended behind you 4. Kick your feet forward 5. Return to an upright position reaching hip and knee extension while jumping off the ground (both feet must leave the ground) and your fi ngertips must reach above your head. 6. Sportograf will be providing an average of 50% more photographers at each event ● Trigger cameras: additional stationary cameras on course will provide even more photo opportunities! ● Increased coverage: more photographers means being able to capture more areas that weren’t possible before. ● Automatic image processing: Sportograf processes every image with its own fi lters to give all the race images an extra pop. ● MORE images: with more photographers and the addition of stationary cameras, athletes can expect to receive up to 40 photos of themselves, processed with fi lters, in high-resolution digital image fi les. ● Photo certifi cate: a photo of the athlete’s choice with the race location and their fi nisher time overlaid onto the image, for a keepsake for specifi c events. How do I purchase my photos? We want to make it as easy as possible for you to get access to all your epic photos! You’ll be able to purchase your photo package before OR after the event, or even choose to purchase a single unforgettable photo, post event. BEFORE THE EVENT: Purchasing prior to your event will be the most cost-eff ective choice to get your photos. ● During the Registration Process: While you’re adding that next 2024 event to your cart, you’ll see the new option to add-on your photo package at the same time. ● Via your DEKA Tickets Account: Didn’t add your Photo Package during registration, but changed your mind? No problem! ● Log into your DEKA Tickets Account, using the same email address you used for registration. ● Locate the event you’d like to add the photo package to, under “ORDERS” ● Click the GEAR to the right side and choose “Change Order” ● Next, choose “Change Information” ● Your current registration information will now show, and you can choose “edit” to edit any selections you’ve made - including adding on a photo package! ● Note: You will need to scroll to the bottom and re-sign your waiver in order to save your changes. AFTER THE EVENT: Via DEKA Photos: a few days after the event (48-72 hours generally, possibly sooner!) photos and results from the event will be ready for general viewing. ● Navigate to DEKA Photos, then the event you’d like to view photos of ● Prove you participated in this event by entering your email address for validation ● You’ll be prompted to Upload your Selfi e, so we can match you to your photos! Note: All athletes can upload their selfi e to look for matches, regardless of if they pre-purchased the photo add-on or not. ● Your matching photos will load automatically with a watermark; look for the option to buy your photo package here (or even single-photos). What if I&#x27;m running Multiple Events in one Weekend? If you&#x27;re running multiple events in one weekend you will need to purchase ONE photo package PER DAY of the event. Multiple DEKA Athletes, One Email Address! ● We don&#x27;t recommend registering multiple DEKA athletes under one email address whenever possible, as your email address is your unique identifi er to separate photos, results, tickets, etc. ● If you DO have multiple DEKA athletes, you will still be able to view and/or purchase everyone&#x27;s unique photos. ● Complete the email verifi cation with your email address ● Upload Selfi e 1 and view the batch of photos.
